    SALES AND MARKETING TIPS FOR STARTERS

A secret that I have come to know overtime is that if you do your marketing right, and you project yourself properly, you will no doubt increase and improve on your business financial windfall, and if by any mistake or an error, you do it wrong, it will feel like all your money has gone down the drain, or all your investment has gone up in flames.

Another thing worthy of note is that you need to realize that if you are not a natural sales person, you might experience some difficulty and some turbulence, while swimming through the murky waters of sales and marketing for your new business, but you don’t have to be afraid,  just check out a few of the tips I’ll share with you, and put them to use. Fear not.

1.      Listen to your customers; this is a good and viable business logic that has been in existence since time immemorial. Always keep your ears to the ground and sniff around on what your customers have to say; what they want, what they don’t want, what they want more of, and what they want less of.

      You are in business to sell and to provide services for other people and not for yourself, so it is important that you hear, and listen to what these “other people” are saying, listen to your customers.

2.      Advertise on all fronts; you should be as visible as much as you can, let your customers see you everywhere. Let them see you on TV, let them read about you in a magazine or a newspaper, let them hear you on radio, let them read about you in a blog, if this happens, they will start thinking of you as a solid and established entity, so anytime they need the kind of services you offer, your name will pop up in their mind immediately, and they will bring business to you.

3.      Make your customers your sales department; Treat your customers so good that they will talk about you and advertise you by mentioning you to other people anytime they are in conversation, they broadcast you without you paying them and even without you being aware, they spread good news about you for free. It has been proven that word of mouth testimonials and referrals from customers and clients will beat any effort by any sales team at any point in time.
