HOW TO MANAGE AND GROW YOUR BUSINESS
2
In the last episode, I began this
series, and I will quickly recapitulate on a few of the things I spoke about in
the last episode.
For business owners, business
starters and young entrepreneurs, you need to realize that you have a lot of
weight on your shoulders, and you have so much to do, it is expected of you,
and you always desire to take your business to the next level. The three things I spoke about in the
last episode for you to manage and grow your business successfully are; 1. Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.
2. Cut Costs. 3. Make your employees feel important.
I’ll move on from there today.
4. Focus on Important tasks always; Business is always business, you
will at all times always be busy, so you need to be very careful not to be
overwhelmed while trying to juggle tasks, and while you are running back and
forth trying to get much done. There is only one advice that I will give to
you; it is certain that you cannot do everything, you can not undertake every
task at the same time, so I’ll advice that you only focus on
the important.
Give your attention to those that will make the biggest difference and make the
biggest impact on your business.
5. Re-Evaluate; this is very important to every business, be it a
small business or a big business, be it a budding business or an established
business, you need to evaluate your business from time to time. Ask yourself
questions, review your business policies and your modus operandi, and find out
what’s working and what’s not working, find out what you need to improve on.
Please give your business the chance to grow in the right direction and stop
doing those things that are not working anymore. Probably some things worked
two years ago, perhaps they even worked last year, but they are not working
anymore, it is only when you take the time out to evaluate the business that
you will be able to find out what is still working and what is no longer
working.
6. Set Goals; another important thing to do is you need to set goals.
It is very important that you define where you want to go, then you need to
develop goals on how you will get there. Set goals, make them clear, run
forward to achieve them, and make sure you stay with your goals. Do not
deviate, do not look left or right, just move towards the direction of your
goals.
7. Technology is Key; you need to take advantage of technology.
Business can be way much easier if you seize the opportunity of technology and
all the social media apps that are available in today’s world; facebook,
twitter, whats app, instagram, and the rest. Don’t just see these apps as a
place for trivial things, just greetings and chit chat, you can actually move your
life and your business forward, and you can make money from there.
